Who we are
The Saskatchewan Strategy for Patient Oriented Research (SPOR) In Primary and Integrated Health Care Innovations (PIHCI) Network is one of 11 networks in Canada designed to include patients, researchers, clinicians and policymakers in the development of new research to bring greater quality, accountability and accessibility to primary health care to the people of Saskatchewan.
The SPOR PIHCI network is Saskatchewan’s response to CIHR’s national initiative.
We are hosted by the University of Saskatchewan but work with members from across the province. We do this by working with community partners by supporting research that includes:
- First Nations and Metis organizations
- Non-profit health groups
- Health and Social groups
- Universities and Technical Institutes
“The Network’s goal is to improve patient experience and health, health equity, and health system outcomes”
SPOR PIHCI Saskatchewan would like to thank the following for their generous support of funds:
- CIHR (Canadian Institutes of Health Research)
- Government of Saskatchewan
- University of Saskatchewan
- SHRF (Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation)
- Saskatoon Health Region
